Pal-V<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netherlands-based flying car company Pal-V is preparing to begin volume production of the world's first road\/air hybrid vehicle after securing a contract with a major supplier and finalizing certification arrangements<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pal-V's agreement with the Spanish aerospace and defense company includes the supply of several composite components, including fuel tanks, fuselage components, propellers and rotor blades<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Freedom combines flying and piloting capabilities. In flight it is a two-seat rotorcraft with a top speed of 180 km\/h (110 mph), a maximum take-off weight of 910 kg (2,000 lb), a range of 500 km (310 miles) and a flight endurance of four hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the ground, once it has been converted into a three-wheeled vehicle, it has a top speed of 160 km\/h (100 mph) and a range of 1,315 kilometers (817 miles). It uses two Rotax 912iS engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Pal-V flying car company was founded in 2008, is the only one in the world through the European Union motor vehicle on the road license, can fly and drive the flying car, the demonstration aircraft has been successfully test-flown in 2012, is now entering the final stage of airworthiness certification, is expected to carry out airworthiness certification flight test this year, and by the end of the year to get the European Union airworthiness certification. We are also developing an electric direct lift aircraft, which is often referred to as evtol, and have 25 sets of patents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been over two hundred orders. The main customers are Aviator and Career Applications. The EU laws and regulations are chosen because of the wide coverage, the roadworthiness license is common in 55 countries in the world, and the airworthiness certification of the aircraft applies to 80% countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also the developer of the relevant standards. In 2020, we succeeded in getting the EU Parliament to pass the Supplementary Regulation on Roadworthy Large Rotorcraft, also known as CS27+, which should be called Part 27 Plus in China. This supplementary regulation is actually written by our company, and it is only for our kind of products, all the later ones, if they want to get the airworthiness certification of similar products, they have to meet the standard according to the standard we made. In addition, our company also as the chairman of the rotorcraft training standards committee, set the standards for training and test flight license and instructor's license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our company is in the process of obtaining the certificates of EU aircraft design company, production company, maintenance company and training company at the same time, only with the qualification of these companies, the products produced can have market access. With the qualification of design company, we can supervise ourselves in the development and design of the next product without having to get all the design details approved by the Bureau, and the compliance time of the next product can be shortened from 50% to 80%. These qualifications are actually the most valuable things for our company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason why our company has survived from '08 to now is that, in addition to the support of the Dutch Innovation Fund, there are nearly 200 angel investors, most of whom understand the aviation industry and invested a fraction of their fortune in our company, so that every time the company needs to be refinanced, it is backed a little bit more. The total investment in the company now exceeds 70 million euros. The company's estimated annual production capacity is between 100 and 500 vehicles, and its annual marketing volume is between 70 and 140 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
